Hey dedicated fitness lovers, do you find it challenging to maintain your fitness and dietary routine while traveling? We all know it’s easy to let loose and indulge on vacation, but CrossFit Newmarket Central has got you covered with some useful tips to help keep you on track.

Planning Is Key

Before you leave, do a little bit of research. Look for hotels that offer fitness amenities or locate nearby parks or trails where you can jog or walk. Consider packing light exercise gear like resistance bands or a yoga mat that will allow you to work out right in your hotel room.

Keep Moving

Traveling usually means sitting for extended periods of time. Combat this by getting up and moving around as much as possible. In the airport, consider walking to your terminal instead of taking the moving walkway.

Make Your Sightseeing Active

Instead of hop-on-hop-off buses or taxis, consider walking tours or renting a bike to explore your destination. This is a great way to stay active while taking in new sights.

Choose Your Meals Wisely

While it’s tempting to overindulge while on vacation, try to make healthy food choices as much as possible. Look for lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains on menus, and remember, everything in moderation.

Stay Hydrated

Drink plenty of water, especially if you’re taking part in outdoor activities or exploring in hot weather. Remember, healthy choices aren’t just about eating right and working out, but taking care of your basic needs too!
